In my collages, I am particularly interested in working artistically with the human body and experimenting with the theme of 'identity'. I use abstraction to break down stereotypes and social images and to focus on the essentials, the beauty of every body and its individuality - beyond gender systems, sexual orientation, skin colour, etc.
Stefan Gunnesch, Winner of the 2023 layout competition
Stefan Gunnesch’s idea fits perfectly with our motto “The future is queer”. On the one hand, his design shows how diverse the queer community is. On the other hand, it is precisely these differences, the different stories of the people, that together make up the queer community. We are therefore very proud to be able to promote Leipzig Pride 2023 with the layout by Stefan Gunnesch.
Stefan Gunnesch is a communication designer and specialises in collage art and book design. He works in his own studio in Leipzig. He has created commissioned works for Dior, Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen, Gewandhaus zu Leipzig and Aēsop, among others. His art can also be seen regularly in international exhibitions.
You can find more information about Stefan Gunnesch on his website:

As the winner of the competition, Stefan will receive a fee of €500. The design will be featured on posters in and around Leipzig, on our social media channels and, of course, on the cover of the programme booklet. We would like to thank all participants in this year’s layout competition. As a thank you, all participants can look forward to guest list places for the Pride Ball, the official closing party of Leipzig Pride.
