Advertising guideline

The financing of Leipzig Pride is based, among other things, on the sale of advertising space such as web banners, advertisements in the programme booklet or advertising on the fence at the street festival. In order to maintain the political claim and sovereignty, the Pride plenum established the following advertising guidelines as the basic grassroots democratic structure of Leipzig Pride, which Leipzig Pride advertising partners undertake to adhere to:

  1. The content of advertising must be in line with the catalogue of demands and the declaration of incompatibility.
  1. In particular, the advertising must not contain any racism, sexism, classism, xenophobia, homophobia, trans- and inter-hostility, nationalistic, anti-Semitic, anti-democratic, anti-emancipatory ideologies, hostility towards people with disabilities and/or other forms of group-related misanthropy.
  1. The organisers must be notified of advertising materials two weeks before they are used. The organisers may prohibit the advertising with reasons.

In order to avoid sexist advertising, the City of Leipzig has drawn up a catalogue of criteria that can be used to identify sexist depictions and statements. We recommend that our advertising partners use this catalogue when designing their advertising.
