Ride along at the demonstration
Demonstrations are by their very nature “mobile events”, which – in whatever form – require participants to walk along. For some people, however, this is not easily possible as they are dependent on a wheelchair, for example, or have other walking impairments. In the interests of equal participation and the accessibility of our demonstration, we have therefore created various offers for these people to enable them to take part in the demonstration despite any mobility restrictions. The accessibility team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our offers for you
Rainbow bus
Firstly, there will be a low-barrier bus for older people and people with walking disabilities. This is a public transport bus provided by Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe for our demonstration. The bus has space for 27 people and 2 wheelchair spaces.
Kleinbus
There is also a barrier-free minibus for people who are dependent on a wheelchair. This will be provided by Leipzig University and has 6 seats for wheelchair users – the wheelchairs will be kept safe during the demonstration – as well as 2 seats for transporting heavy wheelchairs.

Both buses will travel the entire demo route. The buses will be in 2nd and 4th position in the demonstration procession. Boarding will take place in Goethestraße before the start of the demonstration. It is not possible to board after the start of the demonstration! There will be assistants on site to help with getting on and off the vehicles.
If you would like to take advantage of one of these options and secure a place, we would be delighted if you could pre-register. Simply fill in one of the following forms to reserve a place. As soon as you have registered, we will send you a confirmation with all the important information by e-mail and you are ready to go for barrier-free participation in the CSD demo. The forms will be automatically blocked as soon as the corresponding number of reservations has been reached. As always, arriving early ensures the best places.

Seats can be reserved up to and including 16 August 2024. Of course, these offers are also available to all people who need them without advance booking, as long as there are still places available. We ask for solidarity in their use.
If you are no longer able or willing to use your reserved place, please send a short email to barrierefreiheit@csd-leipzig.de so that we can release the place for another person.
