Layout call Leipzig Pride 2024
We are looking for a standardised layout (design) for the publicity of Leipzig Pride 2024!
Scope of the design
Advertising poster
- Format: DIN A1 (59,4 x 84 cm) and DIN A0 (84,1 x 118,9 cm)
- The poster serves to draw attention to the Pride and the programme week and will be displayed in Leipzig and the surrounding area.
- This must contain the logo of Leipzig Pride with the date of the programme week. (The required size will be provided or can be downloaded from the download area of the website).
- The event date is part of the logo.
- The layout must include pictograms for sign language, accessibility and animal welfare.
Adaptations of the poster
- e.g. for digital city light posters, digital city flags and other advertising screens
Cover for programme booklet and flyer
- Format: DIN lang hoch (210 mm x 105 mm)
- The programme booklet contains all the important information about the Pride and the events of the programme week and is distributed in shops, pubs and authorities in Leipzig and the surrounding area.
- This must contain the logo of Leipzig Pride with the date of the programme week. (The required size will be provided or can be downloaded from the download area of the website).
- The event date is part of the logo.
- The interior design is done by the Pride team!
Adaptations for social media and the web
- e.g. for Twitter (banner), Facebook and Instagram (posts + story), YouTube (banner), Pride website (banner)
Adaptations for merchandise (textile motifs and posters)
Adaptations for up to 10 media advertisements (digital and/or print)
Criteria
The design is freely selectable. However, the design should reflect the focus and motto of 2024 Pride “We vote for diversity!” (possibly with space for subtitles).
Only works created by humans are permitted as submissions. Any use of generative AI tools (so-called image AIs) or similar technology is prohibited and will lead to disqualification. This does not apply to supporting or corrective AI tools as part of graphics programmes. The use of copyrighted content or third-party works is also prohibited.
If necessary, adjustments must be made to the design after a submission has been selected and the above-mentioned adaptations must be created. The entrants should therefore be available in the period from April to July 2024 to implement the necessary adaptations etc.
Procedure
The closing date for entries is 07 April 2024 at 24:00. Entries must be submitted via the online form below this text and should consist of at least the poster design and a conceptual design of how the adaptation could be realised for social media and merchandise. Submissions by other means cannot be considered.
The Pride plenum is expected to select the layout for 2024 Pride from all submissions on 10 April 2024, taking into account the criteria of design, innovation and political statement. All entrants will have the opportunity to be present at the election and present their own entry themselves. If this is not possible, a short explanation can optionally be sent along, which will be read out on site. Previous layouts can be viewed in the form of programme booklets in our download area. Some selected posters are available in our shop.
Legal & Fee
The sender whose submission is selected by the plenary session will subsequently conclude a contract for work with CSD Leipzig e.V., provided that all criteria are met. The winning submission will get a fee of € 500.00 (plus VAT). If the contract is concluded, CSD Leipzig e.V. will be granted the sole right to use the design.
All entrants who submit a complete entry will receive a place on the guest list for the Pride Ball, the Pride closing party, as a small thank-you for their participation.
Legal recourse is excluded. There is no entitlement to the conclusion of a contract. This call does not constitute an offer in the legal sense.
